What started as a small neighborhood pizzeria on Rochester Road has grown into one of Troy's most beloved dining institutions — but the recipe that made us great has never changed.
In 1970, founder James Callahan opened the doors of Green Lantern Pizza with a simple belief: that great pizza starts with great ingredients and a whole lot of love. Using his grandmother's hand-me-down dough recipe and locally sourced produce, James created a signature style that quickly became the talk of the town.
Decades later, Green Lantern Pizza remains family-owned and operated. The original wood-fired philosophy — long, slow fermentation, fresh mozzarella, and house-made sauces — is still at the heart of everything we do. Every pie that leaves our kitchen is a testament to that founding spirit.
